Nostalgik seorang penulis tak keruan

Ramadan 2020.

Selesai bersahur pagi tadi, aku tergerak untuk berkongsi rasa di Twitter. 

"I kinda miss the period of 2005 - 2010 when the local blogging scene was so vibrant. AKAB, Sue Anna Joe, John Hafiz and the rest would write rigorously and religiously. Maybe they still are, I don't know." Kemudian, aku sambung tidur usai solat subuh.

Aku bangun semula jam 11 pagi. Ruang notifikasi pada telefon ada tanda dari Twitter. Perkongsian aku awal pagi tadi tu ada yang respon. Salah seorangnya ialah tuan punya nama Sue Anna Joe.

"TBH, feel the same. But tried blogging, and just not feeling it? With IG, Twitter, the kick isn't there anymore when blogging. But now that you mention it, maybe I should, regardless orang baca ke tak."

Wow, Sue Anna Joe respon pada tweet aku. Kalau kau macam aku yang banyak habiskan masa berlegar sekitar blogosfera circa 2005 dan beberapa tahun selepas tu, kau pun akan teruja dengan hal ni, memandangkan Sue Anna Joe ialah seorang susuk cool dalam arena seni indie/blog tempatan masa tu, dan masih cool sampai sekarang aku rasa. Pada aku, ini ibarat selebriti respon pada tweet aku kiranya. 

Notifikasi seterusnya ialah " Sue Anna Joe followed you". Wow. 

Tak lama lepas tu, Sue Anna Joe umum yang dia udah mula blogging semula. "Thanks to this..." katanya, dengan tempekan tweet nostalgik aku pagi tadi. Wow.

"Baby, you remember Sue Anna Joe?" aku tanya pada isteri aku. "Look at this." Sambil hulur telefon aku.

"Yeah, we used to read her blog together, and others' juga." Dia jawab.

"Yeah, back then, on some days, we could just lepak all day and read blogs together kan? And I would write mine." Aku kata.

"Blogging was never my thing, it was yours, but I enjoyed reading them." Isteri aku tambah.

Betul juga, aku lebih banyak menulis berbanding dia. Over the years, aku pernah ada 3-4 blog yang aku tulis dan padam. 

"I used to write a lot about you too." Aku cakap sambil senyum. "Maybe I should start blogging again." She smiled. 

I tend to agree With Sue Anna Joe that with IG, Twitter and a dozen other mediums, blogging is not the same anymore. I'm not sure what, but something is definitely missing. Maybe it is the age factor and other commitments of life and the changes it brought. I don't know. 

Selesai berbuka, sambil layan playlist Guitar Hero 3 - Legends of Rock di Spotify, here we are, I'm blogging again.
